Dr. Ali Asheibi has received his B.E & M.E. degrees in Electrical Power Engineering from University of Benghazi, Libya in 1991 & 2001 respectively. He did his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Wollongong, NSW, Australia in 2009. He has worked at University of Benghazi as a Lecturer between 2009 and 2012 and as an Assistant Professor between 2012 and 2018. He worked as a Visiting Research Fellow at School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney NSW Australia (2018 -2019). Dr. Asheibi has joined the University of Wollongong, as an Academic staff, between 2019 and 2022. Dr Asheibi is currently working as an Assistant Professor at College of Engineering, at A'Sharqiyah University, Sultanate of Oman. His current research interests include Power Quality analysis of distribution networks, Reliability of Power Generation, Power Electronics (DC/DC) Converters, Renewable Energy, and Microgrid Control. Dr. Asheibi is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT). He is a registered as a professional engineer at Engineer Australia. He is accredited by Clean Energy Council, Australia as a designer and installer of Grid Connected of Photovoltaic Power Systems. He has published more than forty (40) peer-reviewed articles and conference papers with 370 google scholar citations and (H-index-11 & i10index-12). Dr Asheibi has been appointed as the Chairman of Libyan committee for Electro-technical standards between 2012 and 2014, and has been awarded with Fulbright Foreign Scholarship by bureau of educational and cultural affairs of the united states department of state, Washington, USA in June 2014. He has been successful in receiving various grants for research projects from both Academic and industrial sectors.
